Overview of Sakhalin-2 major assetsBooster station 2 is tied into the Transsakhalin pipeline system near Gastello approximately half way between the onshore processing facility and Prigorodnoye production complex.
The main function of the BS 2 is to increase the pressure of oil and gas in the pipeline during transportation from north to south of the island. It includes onshore oil pumps, gas compressors and supporting equipment.
The BS 2 occupies the territory of 59 000 м2. Gyeongbokgung Palace could accommodate seven such stations on its territory.
