The UN Global Compact International Yearbook 2017 published an article on Sakhalin Energy’s experience in introduction of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its practical activities.
During Eastern Economic Forum, Sakhalin Energy and Petrofac Facilities Management Limited (Petrofac) signed a contract for the front-end compression station construction on Sakhalin-2 project onshore processing facility (OPF) on Sakhalin Island. The project comprises engineering, procurement, offshore fabrication, construction and site services.
On 21 August, the latest technologies and equipment were presented in the Korsakov Romashka Kindergarten including Naurasha digital laboratory and two state-of-the art educational systems (Multimind and EduQuest).
On 15 June 2017, the naming ceremony took place for a new multifunctional icebreaking standby vessel (IBSBV) built for Sakhalin-2 project under a long-term agreement between Sakhalin Energy and SCF.
A unique operation of the crane boom replacement has been successfully completed on Sakhalin Energy’s Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B) offshore platform. For the first time in the world oil and gas industry practice a 48 meters long crane boom weighing 18 tonnes was installed on the operating offshore platform in adverse weather conditions.
The sessions on the Sakhalin: Man and the Sea project, implemented by the Sakhalin Oblast Public Organization Club Boomerang, with the support of Sakhalin Energy within the framework of the Social Initiatives Fund “Energy”, were completed. Practical trainings took place on the territory of the Vavai Lakes of the Sakhalin Region under the supervision of international experts for the rescue of marine mammals David Matilla and Brian Sharp.
