Sakhalin Energy Calls for Applications for a New Grant Competition

Sakhalin Energy announces the start of accepting applications for a new grant competition − Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services. The company invites non-profit organisations, including budgetary institutions, working in the field of education and social services to participate in the competition.

The Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services competition is held within the framework of the Energy Social Initiatives Fund and is aimed at mitigating the adverse effects of the coronavirus pandemic and developing innovative forms of activity by non-profit organisations.

The purpose of the competition is to support non-profit organisations and institutions that are willing to adapt to the new conditions and requirements of the time and introduce online/distance forms of work, thereby offering new ways to provide assistance to the most vulnerable groups of the population in the field of education and social support.

Applications from Nogliki, Tymovsky, Poronaysk, Makarov, Smirnykh, Dolinsk, Aniva, Korsakov and Kholmsk districts, as well as Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk are to be conidered. Winners will receive financial support from the company in the amount of up to 600 thousand roubles.

The competition provides for financing socially significant projects in two areas:

• digital transformation in education (support of projects in the field of education);
• digital care (support of projects that help socially vulnerable groups—the elderly, the disabled, children left without parental care, the poor, and others).

Applications will be reviewed and decisions on financing will be made on a monthly basis. All applications received during each month will be reviewed until the 10th day of the following month (e.g. all applications received during June will be reviewed until 10 July). The competition will run until the end of September.
