The First-Round Winners of the Grant Competition Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services Announced

The first-round winners of the special Sakhalin Energy grant competition Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services have been announced. The competition is aimed at the mitigation of the adverse effects brought by the coronavirus pandemic and development of innovative activities of non-profit organisations.

The Remote Access Rehabilitation project of the Preodoleniye centre was recognised as one of the best. It is intended to develop a web-resource that will help the patients of the facility to continue with their rehabilitation course and exercise without visiting the centre. Thanks to this initiative, its staff will be able to expand the range of remote consultations. In addition, creating personal accounts integrated with DAS Rehabilitation – the data analysis system already used by Preodoleniye – will provide the staff of the centre with the means of continuous remote interaction with the special-needs children and their parents.

Another winning project with a self-explanatory name Digital Care is aimed at organising remote assistance to sickly and disabled children. It was authored by the staff of the Dachnoye settlement school, which will provide remote classes and online conferences to its students. In addition, the settlement’s school will be able to organise extra classes and consultations for gifted children. Also, outfitting four mini studios will help teachers create good video content for classes and consultations.

Social and Rehabilitation Centre for Minors Ogonyok proposes a Way to New Opportunities. When the project is launched, the facility will get a mobile computer room letting students continue with their education and participate in online contests and Olympiads outside this educational institution.

Funding will be provided by Sakhalin Energy as soon as the projects are finalised based on the recommendations and feedback of the experts.

Applications for the Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services competition are still welcome. The terms of participation are published on in the “Attention! Competition!” section.
