The results of the second round of the special Sakhalin Energy grant competition Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services have been announced.
The competition is aimed at the mitigation of the adverse effects brought by the coronavirus pandemic and development of innovative activities of non-profit organisations.
The project of the New Generation Children and Youth Support Fund from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was chosen as the winner of this round of the competition. The Fund presented the World of Opportunities initiative for children from orphanages and boarding schools. Its authors plan to offer career guidance using a digital platform that is being developed by the Fund with the support of the Sakhalin State University and the Ticket to the Future federal project. This approach will allow specialists to e-mentor young residents of Sakhalin, in particular through various online workshops and test assignments.
“These days, new types of jobs come and go very quickly, so today it is not enough to just know that some profession is important. By interacting with experts from various industries on the World of Opportunities platform, children will be able to literally ‘try on’ different occupations, which will definitely help them to make the right decision in choosing their future career,” said Anna Lygina, Lead Specialist of Sakhalin Energy’s Social Performance Subdivision.
Funding will be provided by Sakhalin Energy as soon as the projects are finalised based on the recommendations and feedback of the experts.
Applications for the Digital Transformation of Educational and Social Services competition are still welcome. The terms of participation are published on www.fondenergy.ru in the “Attention! Competition!” section.
