This first special issue of Rosprirodnadzor’s official magazine, The Clean Air, in 2022, is dedicated to Sakhalin Energy’s environmental best practices.
The special issue highlights the Sakhalin-2 projoect experience in key areas such as greenhouse gas emission management, climate change adaptation, mitigation of negative environmental impacts fr om drilling waste, and industrial environmental control and monitoring.
In addition to implementing preventive measures, the industry magazine highlights the company’s proactive approach in responding to man-made emergencies. As an example of this effort, it is a training and education initiative on rehabilitation of wildlife contaminated by oil and petroleum products.
“We share practices in the pages of the magazine that are marked as the best examples for replication of responsible business approach to environmental protection in the territories wh ere we operate. This experience can be useful to enterprises in various sectors for ensuring stable operations and promoting sustainable solutions for the development of the Russian fuel and energy industry”, said Sakhalin Energy’s Managing Director Andrey Oleinikov in his address to the readers.
The Clean Air magazine is the official magazine of Rosprirodnadzor. The focus is placed on environmental law news and appropriate comments, as well as information on new environmental technologies and expert studies that contribute to modern environmental policy at the workplace.
The magazine is intended for business executives, engineers, heads of departments, environmental inspectors, government officials, environmental organisations, scientists and a wide range of other interested audiences.
