Scope of work |
- Scheduled discharge testing of battery groups as indicated the maintenance procedures and generation of logs and reports. - Charge/discharge cycling based on the results of discharge testing and generation of reports. - Maintenance of battery charging and testing equipment. - Replacement of faulty batteries. - Maintenance of batteries in reserve/storage. - Identifying analogues (if necessary). - Commissioning of new batteries (including electrolyte handling and forming battery groups). - Developing recommendations for streamlining battery maintenance, drawing up battery replacement plans in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and the actual condition of batteries. - Informing of identified defects and deviations in battery operation with subsequent issuance of recommendations / technical proposals for remedial works and fault prevention. |
Requirements to bidders |
1. Technical knowledge
- Understanding of battery work principle (chemistry, types, specifications). - Knowledge of discharge testing methods (regulatory documents, standards such as GOST, IEC, IEEE). - Test equipment skills (discharge units, battery analysers, multimeters, thermometers). Practical skills- Adjustment and calibration of measuring instruments. - Measurements (voltage, current, temperature, capacity). - Analysis and interpretation of test results data. - Identification of anomalies (overheating, overloading, uneven discharge). 2. Safety - Adherence to electrical safety requirements. - Knowledge of precautions for handling acids, alkaline batteries. - Ability to act in abnormal situations (electrolyte leakage). 3. Document and reporting- Testing log keeping. - Generation of testing reports. - Ability to draw conclusions on the condition of the battery group (recommendations for replacement and restoration). 4. Organisational skills ‒ Test planning based on equipment operation schedule. |
